Microsoft Surface Neo – New Device to Launch Holiday 2020

Possibly the most interesting and exciting part of today’s Microsoft Event was the announcement of two foldable devices- One in a tablet like form factor and one in a phone like form factor.

Microsoft Surface Neo

The Surface Neo which is expected to be available sometime during the Holiday 2020 season is a dual screen, foldable device with two 9″ screens allowing you to be more productive with an extremely portable form factor.

The new device will run a special version of Windows 10- “Windows 10 X” which is optimized for dual screens.

Running an Intel 11th generation processor, you will be able to work on your Windows based apps with ease and in a way you’ve never experienced before. The Neo will weigh just 655 grams and each side measures 5.6mm, making it extremely portable.

Much like many convertible laptops and devices available today, the screens can be folded 360 degrees to give you many different angles of work and collaboration. Attaching the pen to the back, along with the keyboard, allows both peripherals to be charged while connected to the device. Attaching the keyboard to the front changes the screen layout with what Microsoft is calling “Wonder Bar”, a feature similar to the Touch Bar on modern MacBook Pros.

There is no word on pricing at this time. What do you think of this new device?
