According to a user over at r/iPhone (Reddit), When adding a new payment method using the camera method, after saving the card information, it was changed over to a completely different person.
User u/Thanamite posted on Reddit about his experience adding a new credit card, which has since been escalated to Apple.
The user has contacted Apple support to report the issue, and they are reportedly “..taking it very seriously.”
What Should I Do?
If this happens to you, it’s never a bad idea to change your Apple ID password. You should also contact Apple support to make them aware of the issue.
